can anyone tell me about this, and whether or not it has helped you? My af is all over the place at the moment since a miscarriage in Jan and thought this might help.
I am still waiting for af to appear and maybe start on next cycle.
I need to feel that I am doing something constructive, and as i am ttc dc5, I dont feel that going to the doctors is the way forward as I have 4 dc already, I dont want to waste their time and money!

Tell me you exciting agnus castus stories please!

I took agnus castus after coming off the pill as I had no period. It helped me and I came on within a week of taking the pills. But you need to be careful as Ive read you shouldnt take it when youre ovulating

I know this post is bit late but I just though I add it anyway. I have been diagnosed with POCS, no ovulation, hormones all over the place and my periods not even worth mentioning.
We went for IVF in 2007 and sure enough fell pregnant having a healthy baby boy. Everybody kept telling me that after you had a baby your cycles would regulate and you have chances to concieve naturally..... well nearly 3 years later... nothing!!!! I decided to try a herbal coctail... nothing to lose so here I go. Primrose oil, Agnus castus and 'Well woman' vitamins.... 6 weeks later and we have fallen pregant. Unortunatelly we have lost our baby last week at around 7-8weeks....
The worst experiance of my life...however, I am now trying to think positive and the way how I see it is. This is the first time in my life I had a positve pregancy test!!! And the only thing I did different was my herbal coctail.
So I am back on it and confident more then ever that it will happen for us again!! I'd say you have nothing to lose so go for it.

I am thinking about taking this for a short/variable luteal phase - however, I have heard some horror stories about it messing up people's cycles totally, and have also seen people on MN saying that you should only take it under the supervision of a herbalist. Does anyone have any comments? Thanks!

A lot of people with PCOS take it as it is supposed to be "nature's Clomid" but I am scared of messing up my fairly decent cycle. I tried it a few years ago (long before TTC) to see if it would help my PMS and heavy periods having read about it in a newspaper and it made me MENTAL! The feeling was similar to the dizziness/lightheadedness some people get in the early days of pregnancy. I stopped it fairly quickly as I just didn't feel like myself on it. I keep being tempted to try again after seeing it mentioned on so many forum posts, but I think I would only do so with th guidance of a herbalist.

I took this for short luteal phase this year when ttc-ing no.5. It did gradually lenghten lp from 9 to 11/12 days, but after 6 mths or so started to revert back. I then combined with vit b6 and got pregnant that cycle (currently 15 wks). Good luck!
