NEWBIE need advice please

Hi girls. Me and my OH have been trying for months and i think its finally happened BUT we only had sex 2 weeks ago and my period is nearly a week late. I took a test and it came up negative but is this beacause it would be too early to show up?? Any advice would be helpful xxxx

It could be too early for test to detect. Which test did you use? some are more sensitive than others. Alternatively period could just be late for no good reason - sometimes it happens. Annoying as it is only time will tell. I would do another test in a few days if still no sign of period.

Was your test an early morning urine? This tends to be the strongest and will give a better prediction. Your period may be late for other reasons too - but lets hope its because of pregnancy! If your period still hasn't turned up - go and see your Gp, take an early morning urine with you. They can do some simple bloods to detect if you are pregnant or not.
