Hello, if I take a pregnancy test today will it give a correct result?

My period is due on Thursday but ideally I'd like to know today as if I'm not pregnant this month I want to join a slimming club and the meeting is tonight! I don't want to hand over the joining fee only to find out a few days later I can't go!

No surefire way to tell to be honest. Also if you've gone to the loo already today unless you don't go until this evening the concentration of HCG in your urine might not be high enough.

Is there not a meeting next week you could go to?

It may well wqork today but TBH I would leave the slimming club until next week and test when you know your period is late.

You can swim while pregnant. It would be really good for you! I'd join anyway, ok competitions might not be the best idea, but what a good way to stay fit during your pregnancy.

I tested positive 5 days before with both successful pregnancies. 10 is the lowest sensiticity you can get, so it is more than likely you'll get a positive result 2 days before if you are pregnant.

Apparently, resting / non-pregnant hcg levels are 5 and the levels then start to double eery 48 hours from implantation.
