Just a quick question for all the ladies out there....

Has EPO ever disturbed your cycles? I decided to try taking it last month right up until I thought I had ovulated but I am now on CD46 and my temp charts shows no ovulation yet at all! My cycles are long but not this long!!

I just wondered if EPO could be the reason why.

It's possible. It is certainly something that effects hormones. That's why some people take it for period pains etc.
Maybe it has effected your cycle.

Hi,
Not sure about it affecting cycle length - I can't see a reason why it should do, but that is no cast iron guarentee that it doesn't for some people. It may be more likely that you are having an annovulatory cycle. I have several of these each year and the doc says it's normal. My normal cycle length is up to 35 days, annovulatory cycles are about 50 odd days for me. Have you ever taken agnus castus? I did this when I had my last annovulatory cycle in Feb and it did kick start things for me.

Hey all,

Just a quick one on the EPO front - sorry for barging in Danilou22

Should you completly avoid EPO while TTC then?????

Thanks

I have taken it for the first time this month, and strangely haven't ovulated (am now cd20 - would normally ov before now). I wondered whether EPO is a cause of this and stopped taking it a couple of days ago.

Would be interested in seeing other people's experiences...

Hi Pollyanna,

I stopped taking it when I thought I had ovulated on CD20 which seems to be normal for me but now am on CD48!!!! and still no sign of ovulation!!

Hi, I find it regulates my cycle and actualy makes it shorter. After my 1st MC 2 years ago my cycle had gone to around 40 days. Now I take it until I ov, then stop, and my cycle length has gone back to a respectable 32. I tried a month off it last cycle (basically got fed up with TTC and took a month off everything) and my cycle went back to around 40, and I am pretty certain I didn't ov at all, this month I am pretty sure I just ov'd on CD 16, which would make this a 31 day cyle... here's hoping.

storm you should only take it until you think you ov.
