Half a line ...

I POAS this morning and after a minute or so a pink line appeared but it didn't go all the way across the width of the stick. It just goes half way across.

The control line is there and strong; but this other line is a bit odd. I'm guessing it's just a faulty test. I'm on CD36, have had old blood spotting on CD24, 25, 33 and 34.

I've been TTC for 2 years; I'd love a BFP.

Anyone else had half a line?

First day on the boat with no loo completed.
And no sign of AF. I can't quite believe it.

Was quite sure the impossibility of dealing with the blob on the water in a boat with a bucket was going to rustle her up.

And it's been pretty windy today which made the 'bucket and chuck it' especially challenging .

Happy days.

No loo, but access to MN - isn't technology wonderful?

I know!

I think, on balance, I'd have preferred a loo. Even though I love the Mumsnet v much.

ROFL.

Imagines an Andrex iPhone app. Fails.

Oooh good, AF not summoned even by bucket and chuck it? Hoorah! I'm feeling optimistic for you!

Wish I'd had an Andrex iPhone app today.

Second day on the boat with no loo today. And no AF.

Was also a bit more proficient with the bucket and chuck it today - it seems I'd forgotten essential parts of the technique.

No AF! Who'd have thought it. I am now ending CD 42 and only 2 days away from my longest normal cycle ever.

Can I have had the menopause in a month d'ya reckon?

Am so disappointed.

So sorry .

FWIW, it took me 2 years of TTC to get pregnant with DD (naturally although I had earlier had a course of Clomid), and then another 4 years to finally have DS.

I hope you get your BFP soon.

Dare I mention I keep seeing lots of posts by other mn'ers were they didn't get a BFP until 6 or more weeks gone?
Sorry you didn't get the result you wanted (won't post another sad face, it's looking a bit to sad now) and sending BFP vibes your way for next time

Nooooooooooooooooo. So sad for you! How disappointing! I was convinced you were pregnant. How are you feeling about it all? You seemed excited, I hope this isn't too much of a downer for you. I wonder where AF is?

Have you been charting your cycle properly? E.g. temping, checking CF, etc? If not, it might be worth starting this as it can give you a lot of information about what's happening with your cycle. The Charter's Anonymous thread is buzzing with charting activity. Do join us (if you haven't already).

Hugs

Mind you if you find the idea of charting a bit off putting you can throw your legs in the air here Lots of fun and shag capes to be had (and cheating and charting anyway)!

Thanks lovely ladies.

I am very disappointed; there's no denying it. If I stop to think, I'll dissolve into a pile of weeping, wailing mess. And I thought I'd convinced myself that we'd stopped trying and were OK.

I've had 3 months of Clomid but took myself off it about because it made me feel so ill; and I wasn't being monitored either which made me uneasy.

I've done a lot of temping and charting and have had many, many tests at the hospital. I've had a hysteroscopy to check out my 10cm fibroid which is in the rear wall of my uterus and is apparently inoperable (they could do a hysterectomy) but is likely to interfere with conception. I also have PCOS. The positive news is that I have a good ovarian reserve though.

It's not looking good to be honest, and when it's combined with my age it looks even worse.

I am struggling; my SiL is about to have the first family grandchild and while I am bursting with excitement for them I am so, so sad for me.

Tomorrow we go to view another puppy to join our existing pair of black hairy marys. That'll take my mind off it

I'll look in on the other two threads; they sound pretty appropriate!

Daisy big big hugs to you. What a rollercoaster. It really sounds so tough for you, especially with your SiL being due soon. It's bound to make you have very mixed feelings. Be kind to yourself. Who are you talking to about all of this? Are you having any therapy at all? Do you have supportive friends and partner? I hope so.

I hope the puppy brings you lots of happiness and distraction in the mean time.

Thank you beach - I really am OK, and am lucky to have a very supportive partner. My DH is just lovely to me. I haven't shared with any friends because they just don't get it.

But. I am also lucky to have a beautiful niece or nephew on the way to a DB and SiL who I am very close to. And a beautiful puppy on the way too

daisydotandgertie · 26/08/2010 10:53

Well. I have the puppy - and she's gorgeous.

And it seems the half a line did mean was something going on. I started some major spotting and then 60 days after my last period started, I started bleeding. And bleeding. And bleeding. For 16 days so far.

I've just been to the doctor to ask for help, he's prescribed progesterone to stop the bleeding and confirmed that it is/was a miscarriage.

Thank you for all your excitement and help with my half a line. Shame it ended up like this though.

Don't worry about it!

I am OK I think; and relieved that there's a reason for this awful period. I haven't felt pg, nor have I though I was, so to find this out doesn't feel so bad at the moment.

But thank you! Grin
