Thanks to everyone who took part.
We've whittled it down and here's the shortlist.

May I just say what a FAB mumsnet boss lady you are

JustscreamMumsnet · 29/10/2007 18:03

There already is a new thread - right here. Vote for your fav name now.

The vote count will be taken at midnight on Wednesday night and the winner will be whisked off for a fun weekend in Manchester at a time of their choosing.

(Olivia can you expand on the "fun weekend" at all?)

Hmm. I am two of these names. As well as being a zombie-botherer I am the long-nailed guy on Elm Street.

Not sure if having two names in increases my chance of winning or just splits the thread-pun-enjoying vote.

Anyway, thought I ought to mention it in case it is deemed unfair.

MrsWeasley · 29/10/2007 18:15

I think my name must be on a second page then!! I am a real witch everyone else just has silly names

I even have a hat just like this one

OLivingDeadMumsnet · 29/10/2007 20:00

Our lucky Mumsnetter will win a fantastic weekend break. The prize will include a two night stay at the Golden Tulip hotel for two adults and two children, theatre tickets to The Lowry and discount shopping vouchers for the Lowry Outlet Mall.

I'm really excited to be on the shortlist (thanks Mumsnet!!) and about the chance of the trip to Manchester, which sounds great. But did Mumsnet notice that I am also ThreadyKrueger, and is it unfair for me to have two shortlisted names?

(Don't want to upset an axemurderer, even a mild-mannered one. )

Hekate · 30/10/2007 06:44

Hurumph. Well, if you're going to go for the puns instead of the truly appropriate names, I'm leaving.

omeN666 · 30/10/2007 10:17

nemo pouts..I am most upset
Good luck all..have cast my vote!!...oh and a pox on your houses

babyblue2 · 30/10/2007 10:26

I've cast my vote but i'm surprised that nemo isn't there.

omeN666 · 30/10/2007 10:49

thanks babyblue..but my names not really 'witty' which I think was the point.

babyblue2 · 30/10/2007 10:51

maybe not witty, but clever.

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 30/10/2007 10:52

TMMJ - Hecate/Hekate was originally a goddess of childbirth, but is now more commonly seen as a Wiccan goddess.

Hekate · 30/10/2007 17:04

Hekate (Hecate was already bagged by someone, dunno who, they've never posted) was a greek goddess of birth, renewal, death magic and witchcraft. She was a guardian against evil, a protective guide and light bringer, but also 'Dread Goddess of the Underworld'.

Hekate · 30/10/2007 17:05

death, magic

Very important comma missed out there, lol!
