How rude, two talk round up mentions in two weeks and yet still not a hint of me on this thread.

well thats it. i refuse to be funny anymore.

SantasFattymumma · 04/12/2006 22:09

shit. what a bloody hilarious way to xpost

2shoes · 04/12/2006 22:09

can you not read

NorksBride · 04/12/2006 22:14

And 2shoes and Fattymumma are a great double act...

fortyplus · 04/12/2006 22:34

Ooh! I'm all worried now in case DumbledoresGirl thinks I'm someone who just barges in!
I'm quite new to mn so maybe not up on the etiquette yet?

EmmyLou · 04/12/2006 23:09

Soupdragon. 'Rat on baby dragon' thread really made me .

Oh, and Fullmoomfiend of course, for her witty, knowing, Northern asides.

And Franny for emailing the Heuristic play stuff. [halo emoticon]

But ultimate vote would have to be for Santa SOAPY

DumbledoresGirl · 05/12/2006 12:21

What is it with you guys? I said I liked people who just barge in 40+!!

by the way, has anyone ever told you your name is depressing? No I don't mean I think that, just wondered if anyone had ever said that to you, like so many people said to me about my old name! Cheek!

expatinscotland · 05/12/2006 12:22

FrostyFanjo

zippitippitoes · 05/12/2006 12:24

gosh really pleased to read that sophable accuses posters of ebing sexually repressed regularly..I thought it was just me!!

nailpolish · 05/12/2006 12:30

DimpledThighs · 05/12/2006 14:03

just dashing in to second nomedeplume - lovely stuff!

yulemoonfiend · 05/12/2006 16:20

emmylou - the cheque's in the post

Zippitippitoes seems lovely, but I also especially like that Fullmoonfiend bird, the way she rushes to peoples' defence when they are being bludgeoned to death by somebody's weighty sense of superiority...

fortyplus · 06/12/2006 00:02

DumbledoresGirl - no one's said that so far (till now - sniff!) I just thought that most MNers would be sprightly young things in their 20s & 30s so thought it only fair that the name gave away the fact that I'm wrinkled old hag sliding downhill to menopause.

Yikes! That is depressing! Shall I change my name to MentalAgeOf12 ?

fortyplus · 06/12/2006 00:06

expat - went Xmas shopping with dh today and told him about FrostyFanjo! He's been moaning at me for MNing in the evening when I should be chasing him upstairs to bed - but I think he might be joining up any minute! Lucky I've never said anything too rude about him

DumbledoresGirl · 06/12/2006 09:51

Hey 40+, don't change your name! Apart from any other reason, if you do, those others of us who are 40+ (well, thinking of me actually) will never make the connection between your old name and new one.

twoisenoughmum · 06/12/2006 14:47

If I may just barge in here - Fortyplus, although I am in the same age bracket as you, I never read your Mnet name as relating to your age ... I've always thought of it as relating to your bra size !!!

DumbledoresGirl · 06/12/2006 15:51

That is interesting twoisenough. I always assumed it referred to her age. I wonder what that says about you? Also, I wonder if anyone thought it referred to the number of children she had - well, stranger things have happened.

twoisenoughmum · 06/12/2006 17:39

Hmmm. I wonder what it says about me as well. Best not to dwell on it, probably.

fortyplus · 06/12/2006 21:48

twoisenoughmum - I wish! It's my bum, actually.[fdgrin]

fortyplus · 06/12/2006 21:49

Oops - typo!

fortyplus · 06/12/2006 21:51

DumbledoresGirl - shall I start an age survey thread? I'd assumed that the MN addicts were all stuck at home with baby at the boob [outrage at stereotyping sahms emoticon]

DumbledoresGirl · 07/12/2006 15:57

Only just seen this 40+. There have been some very revealing age survey threads before. We addicts are not all at home, with boob permanently out. I go out quite often! No, just kidding, I am home all the time and keep my boobs to myself now.

GlennCloseAsCruellaDeVille · 07/12/2006 16:06

40 plus you are so wrong it's quite funny...chortle chortle..

you really have no idea who you are talking to!

fortyplus · 07/12/2006 17:57

DumbledoresGirl & GlennCloseAsCruellaDeVille I've actually been amazed at the variety of people/personalities on mn - the baby at the boob image was just my initial thought when I chose my name & now I can't be bovvered to change it.
My only 'criticism' of mn is that it seems a bit middle class, though maybe that's just the threads that I'm attracted to - who knows?
It's good fun - even when you come across people like xenia - Lord knows why that woman doesn't change her name???
