Why have you reverted to the old way of adding a tip etc? there's only so many I can make up post. Surely it just means half the tips and recipes are shit.

I apologise in advance for looking very bitter (I'm not) but it seems that there are people just joining MN the hope of winning a competition.

Whilst I understand there are often people who name change, it surely Cant account for all instances.

Are MNHQ able to filter on competition entries?

For instance (sorry to single him/her out) Mattytun has only had 3 posts in the past year, and they have all been on competition threads

I think these competitions are sometimes posted in teh "Competitions" section of the MSE website so there will be a lot of newbies entering.

@ MNHQ - none of my tips are showing up, is there a reason for this?

geordieminx - product test/thread/survey winners are chosen at random from all who make a comment (I use random number generator in excel then find the MNer who corresponds with the number). Whilst some winners may look like newbies, often - as you say - they are namechangers who are perhaps more well established on MN than it may seem, also sometimes folks have been members for a long time and are lurkers rather than posters (and sometimes they are lukcy newbies!).

Hi, have added a tip for the Laura Ashley vouchers comp (about administering medicine through a bottle teat) but have just realised there is absolutely no way it can be traced to me ! I wasn't logged in at the time and did not put my user name in the tip box....am I just being stupid, or was there a proper way to do it ? ( and really want Laura Ashley vouchers.......)

Hi laughalot, competitions run from the first Thursday of the month to the first Thursday of the following month. We tend to switch the pages at lunchtime and then select the winners this afternoon.
We will be posting on here later on today with a list of the March winners.
