I won a spa day once (it was woonderful.) I'm not a prolific poster but put in my tuppence worth every now and again.

I think it really is luck of the draw. I was just new to the boards when I won.

I have been entering for ages and not won but stay positive that one day I will be lucky.

As for entering the comps, you have to reead each comp T+C as some don't accept mulyiple entries. For example the 12 days of Christmas ones state only one entry per user. Others you can enter as many times as you want. I don't have time to send in hundreds of entries, maybe that's where I am going wrong

They are fab competitions though, no wonder they attract lots of new posters.

Received my JL vouchers today, am so so happy I can buy a few gifts for Christmas for the people that mean the most to me now. It really has made my Christmas ((insert bob cratchet type emoticon))

Congrats to all the winners :) Interesting point belle - I've always assumed that it was only one entry per comp anyway....it must be possible to lock all the competitions down if some of them have that limit but not others....

I agree that it should be one entry per user.

I'm not a professional competition enterer nor a prolific poster, more of a lurker but I do post on the weight loss boards so it's a bit ironic that I've won some smoothies - they are healthy though aren't they? and they are for the dcs.

Just been reading all the comments about competition entry. Agree about one entry per person being standard throughout MN comps, so we'll add this to our T&Cs now.

You're not dense gazzalw, you have good manners. There's a lot of competition sluts out there, they spend all day entering to boost their chances. It's a bit sad really.

Agree with only one entry per person, didn't know you can enter more then once. And if someone is trying to enter more than once it should prevent them from entering (something like this is on other webites)

Yup. I tried it once but felt really bad about it so stopped after the 3rd attempt. I didn't win.

catherinehmumsnet I have tried to enter the Lapland comp a couple of times this afternoon, but both times the confirmation page hasn't appeared. Please could you check if you have received my entry.

I am also having problems entering the Plum competition , have tried twice and it says data not sent ?

Yup, same here, no confirmation. Just the same page with a blank spot where the entry details were.
