Champion Charity Shop Finds

I wanted to create this thread as:

1. A place to boast of the fantastic 2nd hand items we find in charity shops. This includes clothes, shoes, household items, books, and DVDs.
2. To bring more MN members to the Climate Change topic.

Today I went out shopping with the hope of finding a summer dress. I travelled to the town next to where I live, and in their Cancer Research branch I found an Oliver Bonas dress that fit me like a glove 😃 It was not cheap at £15, but much cheaper than a new Oliver Bonas dress and better for the environment. Most of my charity shop finds range from £1-4, but I am willing to pay more for fancy brands.

Please use this thread to boast of your charity shop finds, and together we can first try to buy items second hand in order to help reduce waste 😃

I once bought a woolly blanket from the charity shop. Took hours to wash in the bath and days to dry but it keeps me warm in winter. (Too big for a washing machine and didn't want to take to the launderette)

I got my wedding dress from Oxfam - and re-donated it after the big day!

Can I also encourage people to look out for local clothes swap events - just bene to my first and it was fab!
