When companies make eco claims

Does it bother you when companies make pledges about their environmental goals? Do you think it's better to talk about actual steps they've taken to reduce their impact? Or is it realistic that some changes won't be overnight and that it's good to set out a vision for the future? We're discussing this at work at the moment so I thought I'd ask for some opinions!

Our organisation sets out longer term targets and then each year we can measure and show progress

Both are important. I look for what is planned but also what has been acheived so far. I feel that the company take their environmental plans seriously if they are already making tangible efforts.
