Biodegradable nappies

Has anyone researched actually how eco friendly biodegradable nappies are? I’m happy to spend the extra if they are genuinely eco friendly but not if it’s a bit of a PR con! If anyone could share their knowledge that would be great. I’d be using probably the kit and kin ones in conjunction with tots bots reusables for my next baby who is due soon.

I used biodegradable nappies with my first for the first 2 months before moving onto reusable. I heard after that they aren't very eco friendly as they need the right environment to break down which they dont get in general waste.

Not sure how true that is though as I just heard it from a friend. I'd do some more research as the price difference is a lot.

Yes, that’s pretty much what I’m planning on doing because I don’t want to shell out on newborn reusable nappies. And also, the newborn days are hard enough without introducing nappy washing!
