Do you think you have changed your attitude to risk since you have become a parent?
Can you think of anything you do differently now in relation to weather extremes (heatwaves, cold spells or floods) that you only do because you have young children?

Most definitely. I'm struggling mentally with the climate crisis and whilst I would never for a moment 'undo' my DS I hate that he will be growing up in some kind of dystopian environment. I have no faith in politicians and no hope in the majority of the public so I don't see how things can improve.

I am changing everything I can in my own life/family/household and campaigning with official and unofficial sources but we are no where near and no one is coming to save us.

I have yet to start building a underground bunker but I'm not far off, it's that or buy a boat!

Opposite of what OP or another journo wants to hear. Having kids made me prioritise "the planet" less than I did when I was single.
