Can anyone recommend any good books about recycling/ plastic/ sustainability. My book club wants to read one.

I’m wondering if there is a book that is a scientific guide to recycling, for instance I’d like to see a comparison of buying milk in glass bottles from the milkman compared to plastic from Tesco’s in terms of the impact on the environment. Also have questions answered for me like: can the fibres be reclaimed from old socks - can they be recycled?
