We have a lovely period 6 bedroom house in a seaside resort. views of sea from some windows and just over 5 mins walk to 3 miles of beach. We are on a local bus route, and regional airport is 15 mins drive away.

Ideally would love somewhere warm and continentallish but also more than happy to consider uk as had a great hols there last year.

lauraw., we'd love a trip to Ireland this summer. I'm from Co Down but now live in Scotland. Do you live in Waterford?

hello, we'd certainly consider it, if you wanted a holiday in Devon right near dartmoor in a lovely market town?

We do live in Waterford - well in Tramore which is the coastal resort to Waterford City.

I'm delighted to have received your interest - just told DH who looked quite horrified. So will work on him!! Any info you have about your own bodes of rest will be welcome. and how does all this work...?

hehe, my DH is equally as horrified, but looking at our finances he is coming around to the idea that a house swap will give us a cheap holiday without the need to travel far with young child

so...our house is a 4 bed semi detached, main bedroom has super kingsize bed and huge ensuite/dressing room, bedroom 2 has kingsize bed, bedroom 3 is nursery to our 16mo dd with cotbed and changing unit, bedroom 4 is currently playroom but we do have a single bed for it if needed. Also upstairs family bathroom.

Lounge is 20ft by 20ft with double patio doors leading onto garden of patio/bbq area then flat lawned area. kitchen dining room and downstairs loo. Front garden and driveway. We have all the equipment for child up to age of 16 months!!! we have a few pets which we will ship out to other people if you don't fancy looking after them.

House itself is in award winning market town (about a 10 minute walk away) with quaint shops and lots cafes/pubs, lovely park with canal, river, playpark and indoor swimming pool with cafe. dartmoor is a 5 minute walk from our house with wild sheep/ponies/cows roaming.

plymouth is a 30 minute drive away (regular buses too) and exeter an hour away. beaches about 30 mins away too.

think thats everything, whats your house like please?

Hi dontbitemytoes

Being a bit cheeky but saw your message and was wondering whether you'd like a weekend in london sometime?! DH's aged granny lives near Tavistock (which I'm guessing must be somewhere near you) but in sheltered accommodation so we can't stay with her, but we'd love to spend a w/e down in that part of the world...

We've got a 3 bedroom house with all the kit you'd need for a 16 month-old (we've got one slightly older and one slightly younger), including cot, playroom, highchair, (small) garden with slide and baby trampoline, family bathroom. Plus a super kingsize bed and en suite shower room (sadly no dressing room ). It's in NW London in a nice neighbourhood with a child-friendly park about 5 mins away, shops at the end of the road (including very posh bakers/cafe, slightly less posh deli and bog standard starbucks, plus a supermarket, a couple of restaurants and a nice gastropub) and the tube is a 5-minute walk away. It's then 10 minutes to Paddington or about 15 minutes into Oxford Circus/the West End. London zoo is pretty nearby and Kew Gardens is easy to reach.

We've got a very timid cat who would need to be fed.

If you're interested, then let me know ...If not, forgive me for intruding .

sorry for hijack, qpmum we're in tavistock!!! email me on [email protected] and we'll talk more, but we are interested
