Not a house swap, looking for house to rent in Surrey or Bucks

I know that I am posting in the wrong section but I can't find anywhere else to put this so thought I would try a long shot in the hope that someone might be able to help!

Have just been told that my landlady is selling up so we have 8 weeks to find a new place to live - am still getting palpitations when I think about this!

The problem is none of the houses we have enquired about consider pets. Does anybody have, or know of, a 2/3 bed house with garden & ideally wood/laminate floors in Surrey or Amersham/Chesham area available for long term rental?

The house would be for me and my fiance and our two well trained/house proofed adult Border Collies. We can provide excellent references from our current and previous landlords. We are very house proud and dare I say it excellent tenants (blows own trumpet!). Our price range is £825-£950 PCM.

Hope someone can help so I can stop breathing into the paper bag!

This any good?

This looks lovely and this is nice. Neither mention pets.

I think you need to talk to the agents, offer references and suggest that you'd be willing to pay a higher deposit and agree to more regular inspections to allay any concerns the owners may have.

Go for as many properties as possible and go to the agencies in person if you can. Ask about any properties that are empty and ready to move into now- I now you've got 8 weeks but these owners are more likely to be in need of rent and open to the idea of pets.

Thank you Narkypuffin, one of them does look very nice indeed! Have contacted the agent and waiting for them to get back to me. Of course it's the house that doesn't specify anything about pets! When we were looking for our current house it seemed that in the main the only places that took pets were pretty horrific. Mind you if I had a nice house to rent out maybe I wouldn't be that keen on a menagerie moving in to it. :)

I think that dealing with agents is problematic in that they aren't that bothered about even discussing ways around the pets issue or making representations/offers to the landlord on our behalf.

The ideal scenario would be to deal with private landlords directly but despite several internet searches I can't seem to find many private adverts and nothing suitable.

If my fiance says one more time 8 weeks is ages I might have to smother him with the paper bag I am currently breathing into!
