I had a baby 3.5 years ago, induction ended in an ECS. After about a year I began getting really bad lower back pain and sometimes in the middle too. At first I thought it was carrying him around but I don’t really do that now and still in daily pain. I also feel like it hurts when I put my shoulders back. I’ve seen a chiro who gave me exercises but while they will fix the problem momentarily the pain always comes back. I feel like the cs has changed my gait but I’m at a loss with how to solve it. When I clench my stomach muscles while walking the pain goes away but I can’t walk aroubd like that all the time as it doesn’t feel natural. Is this my lot now? I feel quite teary about it as I never ever had a bad back before and it’s affecting my wellbeing. Anyone had this and solved it?

I'm not an expert but have you seen a physio that specialises in post partum? It sounds as though your core musculature is very weak and when something is off, one thing I've seen is that other muscles kick in to try to compensate and then gradually, everything gets messed up.

I saw a chiropractor for a few years, immense relief when something is cracked and released but didn't sort the underlying problem at all.

Thanks for the reply! I think you’re right, I dont think person I’ve seen is expert enough. Like you say, what she does works for a short time, the next day it’s back to the same, even with the exercises. I wonder if I need more fascial release/scar tissue work.
do you have the same prob?
