Kidney stone & Renal colic

Hi, I’ve been in pain for two weeks with renal colic awaiting a CT scan. I am hoping to try and speed things up and try and flush out the stone by drinking lots of water. Has anyone managed to do this? Anyone got any advice or tips please? I just want to get back to normal instead of all these painkillers I am taking. Thanks

I have had kidney stones many times since I was 19, water water water, just keep drinking it. I’ve ended up in hospital a few times but always passed mines myself. The pain is horrendous but once it’s actually in the bladder the pain will go and then it will be passed soon. I always end up with cystitis at this point and for a little while after it’s passed, but just keep drinking water

Thank you Glittermittens. Any idea how long the stone takes to move to the bladder?
