This morning I read a news article about children being offered ketamine and help for addiction in ketamine clinics.
i was born with an autoimmune disease that is one of the most painful things you can have. I used to be able to call nurses to come and administer antiemetics and pain killers. I managed brilliantly for years like this. This was suddenly stopped as I did not come under a pain clinic. I have been referred to many pain clinics but they say they cannot help me as my situation is too complicated. My gp refuses to help telling me to go to A and E. They say go to my GP as pain relief is dealt with in the community. This has lead to me being unable to eat for 3 years.
I have no where to go and no one will help. I have a brilliant consultant but a and e do not come under their jurisdiction , consultants are no longer able to prescribe
my mental health is in tatters are my relationships with friends and family.
what is happening to people like me.? Where is the duty of care.?
I have had increasing constant pane now for a week. Why are genuine people in pain being treated as drug seekers and addicts. Just because some people who are know their way round the system to get. Fentanyl, ketamine , morphine and genuine sufferers get told to go away.
