I currently take x2 30/500 4 times a day for chronic pain and CTS. I have been prescribed MC and would like to come off Cocodomol and only use MC for pain relief.

has anyone done this and has any advice on how to safely do this???? I suffer with anxiety and i am so worried about crossing over the meds and causing health problems.

I'd come down on those codeine very slowly. Maybe something like have one and a half for one dose and slowly build up to one and a half for every dose. Then one tablet for each dose and then a half before cutting them out completely.

I use cannabis for pain and it's very good. I'd say as good as morphine. It can make you feel spacey obviously, but it's not an unpleasant feeling. If it ever feels overwhelming, get on the sofa with a pack of biscuits and put on an old familiar film. You should be feeling better by the time the film has finished.

I've mixed both together literally hundreds of times and never had an issue, so don't worry yourself there.

I was hoping to do the swap within 2 weeks 😣 is that wishful thinking ? Lol!
I use to smoke BM cannabis for nearly 10 years but i gave up 6 years ago as my anxiety got bad and i thought it was that. Gave up wine and smoking too! Now im stuck on Cocodomol 😤 and vapes.

But im just going to try stick with MC. I have borderline liver function so my anxiety is through the roof taking cocodomol atm.

Just not sure when to take the mc while weaning off Coco as i dont want to mix them up too much. So just want to see when would be best to take the mc and not the coco and how long to leave a gap in between each 😩 driving myself mad lol

I think you could cut down a fair amount in two weeks. You might be able to get away with moving onto one for each dose this week and half for each dose next week.

The other option is cold turkey. It's not dangerous to withdraw from codeine. It's just quite unpleasant.

Codeine doesn't stay in your system very long. You should have it completely gone within 24 hours of your last dose. So you wouldn't need to leave it ages to make sure you weren't mixing them.
