Stair gate advice for chronically pained mum

Hello lovelies,

DD is crawling and standing now and walking won't be far away so I need to get stair gates. As someone who often struggles with pain/weakness in my hands and wrists (due to M.E. and fibromyalgia), I was wondering if anyone in a similar situation has advice about which stair gate mechanisms are the most wrist/hand-friendly?

Thanks! x

The babydan one might be suitable Buy BabyDan Guard Me Auto Foldable Safety Gate | Safety gates | Argos. It's pricier than other ones (have a look on facebook marketplace or ebay and you might get lucky with a second hand one!) but you can hook your hand into the wide handle to close it, and the push button is big enough that you can apply pressure with your palm rather than having to press hard with one finger.
