Pain at the end of and after period

Hi. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced extreme abdominal pain and back pain during the last two days of their period which then carries on for a week after the period has ended?
I have a period every 28 days and the start of these are very heavy. Just as that finishes, the pain starts. It wakes me up in the night and during the day it makes me short tempered as I just struggle to concentrate on anything or have patience.its always my right side.
i take nuromol tablets every seven hours but you’re not meant to take those for more than three days and I’ve been taking them for five. When they wear off the pain is hideous.
ive had ultrasounds in the past but they just found polyps. I had a laparoscopy to relive a polyp which had disappeared when they went in. They said they’d have to do another laparoscopy to look for endometriosis as that one wouldn’t have been looking for it!!!
every time I think of trying to get seen to I have a month or two pain free, then it comes back again.
Sorry for long post but tired and desperate!

Have you tried Dienogest? If it is endometriosis or adenomiosis, it might help. I know someone who says it helped from the second month of taking it.

Just to update in case anyone has had similar. I went in privately for diagnostic laparoscopy and it showed stage 3 endometriosis on the right side which had stuck down my ovary to my bowel. She cut it away and I freed as much as she could and treated the endo. I also have adenomiosis. She’s fitted the Mirena coil and i have an appointment in 2 months to see how I am. If I’m still experiencing the pain, she said she’d remove my right ovary and fallopian tube.
I only went to get it sorted due to my partner pointing out how bad I was each month which made me keep a diary of periods, pain and other symptoms. After doing this for three months I realised I only have two weeks each month pain free.
so please, anyone suffering pains they know are more than “period cramps”, keep a diary and get it checked out.
