Living with this crap - not just the chronic (sometimes think acute would be better) pain plus deterioration in mobility. I am so f*** off with people asking if I've tried everything from acupuncture to positive thinking; the answer is yes but I wonder if this fist (the one attached to my wrist) rapidly making its way to contact your faux concerned face would make me feel better. Yup.
Please assume we're not idiots and offer practical help be it popping to post office / corner shop because that's where you're heading anyway, dog walking etc.
I have most things covered but am never too proud or ashamed to appreciate any offers of proactive help.
I'm lucky enough to have MrCat but he seems to think any acceptance of outside help somehow means he's failed in his duty of care. Sigh.
