Hi there, I had one of my upper teeth out last week on Thursday and my gums are still really sore and after having someone take a photo they said they think there’s still bone in it. I’m living on paracetamol and Ibuprofen to ease the discomfort and I thought it would have eased by now. Any dentists here that can advice if it looks normal?

Could be dry socket, would recommend getting back to the dentist so they can have a look

Not normal to still be in pain. I'd call the dentist.

That yellow whitish stuff is Slough, a bacterial build up layer. It needs to come off in order for the socket to heal. You get it in foot and leg ulcers. We get it off with scalpels or chemicals. You can get nasty slough if you smoke.
Go back to the dentist.you can't get rid of it with antibiotics.

I was in discomfort for weeks from one taken out in a similar position which had been a difficult extraction, broke in pieces. I think it had bone in it but the human body is very clever it works its way out itself eventually. Try not to mess with it and keep up with salt water washes I'd say, the worst of the pain was well over a week.
