Fibromyalgia Flare, first one in a very long time!

I'm struggling with a flare. I'm very lucky that I live with a daily low pain, generally get up, get on, work, look after our animals, do housework etc...

But this flare has FLOORED ME. I'm dead on my feet. All week I've felt like I'm coming down with something, it was only the other day when I couldn't even cook dinner, and my teeth hurt, that I realised what was happening.

I'm EXHAUSTED. I'm sore from my scalp to my toes. Everything is an effort.

I did manage to walk one of my dogs today and cook a dinner but I'm.done in now. (Husband has walked other dogs don't worry!)

Any tips on how to get through this? I'm on cocodamol, naproxen, and using magnesium rub

Peace and quiet- is that possible?

Totally sympathise OP, and I hope you're feeling even some little shoots of recovery since your post 10 days ago. I agree with PP's suggestion of quiet, undemanding time if at all possible. Plenty of rest, and then pace yourself carefully as you try to resume more 'normal' days. But only when you feel ready. It can be so hard to step back properly, even when our bodies are screaming at us to do so, and even harder if you're worried about losing income/employment, etc. Just listen to your body as understandingly as you can, whatever your circumstances, and try to cut it some slack. Let your husband do the cooking for as long as it takes!

A very good deep sleep works for me or a walk. Hope you feel better soon.
