Not sure if this is the right place but about 6 weeks ago I woke up with a stiff neck.
Carried on for about a week, gp said to take codeine. The next week I had severe pain and weakness in my right arm- same side as the neck that has progressively got worse and worse. Gp prescribed naproxen for trapped nerve and seeing muscular skeletal specialist in two weeks time. Neck slightly better but OMG my arm and collar bone quite literally burns with pain constantly. Naproxen not doing much and overnight it's horrible, I'm averaging four hours and then shouting DS wakes us up at 6am or before.
I wfh admin work and have the toddler on my days off, no alternative childcare. I'm finding the days picking up after him brutal and DH works long hours (teacher so he can't take time off during term to help) so I do more around the house as I'm always there. Wtf do I do? How long will it be like this as I can barely wipe my bum some days and I'm so ratty with everyone including DS from the constant pain?. I'm worrying it's something more and it will be months of this.

I had something similar but in my left arm, from my neck, to my collarbone all the way down to my elbow. It was so so sore. I had an MRI and saw a physio and they literally didn't know but suspected something to do my cervical spine. Anyway it went away eventually after around 3 months, I still get twinges in my collarbone area if I move funny or abruptly.. I was since diagnosed with fibromyalgia so unsure if this was a contributing factor. Hope you manage to get some answers. Just to add I have terrible posture so I think an event of mine was also down to this.
