Wrist Tendinitis

Little backstory, I woke up Saturday and along the top of my wrist, where the crease is, was painful to press, and if I moved my Hand side to side, like a wave movement, it hurt. It was noticeable but ignorable, fast toward to Sunday morning and I woke up in agony. Unable to move my wrist/hand without wincing in pain and close to tears. Fingers and forearm swollen. My husband helped me get showered, changed and ready and we went to our local urgent care, after an hour waiting the dr suspected it was septic arthritis and sent me to my local A&E for blood tests. Arrived at A&E, signed in, called to be seen and asked the same questions again, blood test requested, further 45 minutes, blood test done, 2.5 hours passed, called in by another nurse/dr, asked the same questions again, examined again, half the blood test results are back, infection marker is 1. So she no longer thinks it could Be septic arthritis or an infection but wanted to wait for the white blood cell count and sent me for an X-ray (5.5hours in) X-ray came back clear, white blood cell came back slightly elevated but nothing to indicated infection.
So, concluded it was severe tendinitis in my wrist and hand, they've put me in a wrist brace, which she's told me to wear constantly except for when showering for the next week, told me I can't drive or work for the next week at least, (which I wouldn't of able to anyway!) and a sling along with Codeine, paracetamol and ibuprofen. But I'm in agony. My left hand is essentially useless, I can't do anything with it, the pain is unbearable...

and I genuinely cannot bend my hand down or back, which is freaking me out. Because it's not through pain, it feels like the inside of my wrist tightens up and will not allow it... along with a lot of pain.
Anyone with any experience of this?? Any advice?? Or just feel sorry with me...

Sorry for any spelling mistakes, having to do this one handed! Blush
