F, 50. Pains in both arms, wrists, hands and fingers ( intermittent). Have had hand ( electrode?) test and full bloods- all normal. Anyone have similar/ can shed any light? Thanks

So, I assume that's excluded a number of diagnoses including hand arm vibration syndrome? Anything else excluded?

Type of pain? Circumstances of pain? Pain levels? Movement painful or not etc?

Need a bit more info!

Just to add, I started on Gaberpentin ( 3 X daily) 4 weeks ago, and, whilst it helped at first, it's now giving very limited ( if at all) pain relief

@Tiredallthetimeneedsleep if you haven't been tested for inflammatory markers in your blood, ask for it.
Gabapentin is for nerve pain, but doesn't suit everyone - there are other things you could try, but if I were you I'd also ask for a cervical spine MRI to rule out any factors affecting your nerves there, as your symptoms are quite localized.

Oh, sorry, and if you're on 100mg gabapentin it's possible to take a higher dose. Time for another discussion with your GP I think! (And possibly a referral to rheumatology.)

Dr mentioned possibly oesteoarthritus. Blood test negative for RA. MRI and X-rays sent for. Naproxen prescribed
