First Rheumatology appointment

Hi everyone, hope you're all well.
I have my first rheumatology appointment in a few days and I've not really been told what it's going to be about or what will happen at the appointment. I have been seeing my GP quite often since the past year due to several symptoms: joint pain, vomiting, chest pain, overactive bladder, migraines and overactive bladder. Out of the blue I have been sent an appointment with a rheumatologist and wasn't really told that I'd be getting one. Does anyone know what happens at an appointment with a rheumatologist? Anyone with any experiences pleasant, it will be really helpful thank you

Presumably you’ve been referred to them for the joint pain?

Ime it was a (very) quick chat, a blood form for me to trot down to phlebotomy, an X-ray form for me to go and sit for 2 hours waiting for an X-ray and a ‘we will see you for a follow up when we have the results.
The follow was a wait of 9 months, I was told ‘yes you have X,Y,Z we’ll write to your gp to confirm and discharge you to their care’.
GP ‘here’s some naproxen’
