For about 18 months I've had problems with my jaw. When it first started for about 24 hours I couldn't open it, couldn't close it and it was agony. I was on holiday at the time and could just about drink, woke up the next day and it was fine. Sore but ok.

Since then (this was July 22) I've had problems with my jaw. I've been backwards and forwards to the dentist, teeth are fine, had x rays and no problem shows up.

Had a guard fitted, and it did nothing. Had exercises to do and that didn't help either.

Went to the dr who referred me to ENT, this was a waste of time.

I've had facial X-rays, scans and nothing shows up, but still I'm in agony. It's right in my jaw, down my neck, into my cheek.

I'm religious taking painkillers, the codine helps me sleep, but I'm really drowsy the next day so I only take it on a Friday/ Saturday.

I sometimes get the sensation of, y'know when you have a strawberry seed in your teeth and your bite feels off?

I've also recently been getting - and I don't know what this is called - y'know when you suck on a lemon or lime and you get that zingy sensation in your jaw, sort of like when your mouth waters - do you know what I mean?

I'm currently waiting for an appointment from the Maxifacial team who deal with TMJ issues, but with the backlog and strikes the appointment is taking forever to come through. I'm not even sure what they will tell me of everything has come back clear so far.

Thoroughly fed up.

DD has a click in her jaw, she sometimes feels like she can’t open it fully. Dentist not interested unless her jaw gets stuck open.
