Has anyone had any weird one sided symtoms like this?

So to preface I’m 35, mum to a 2yo, otherwise healthy. No weight loss.

For around 2 years now, ever since my son was born and maybe a bit before, I’ve had one-sided body issues in my right.

I get occasional jaw pain on the right jaw hinge. It feels like it’s been hit or bruised. It’s not there all the time, probably around 50%. I also get right arm pain, and my right arm can feel strange - heavy and a bit numb/tingly, and the arm can click too when moving. The muscles around my jaw and shoulders on the right feel very tight and swollen compared to the left. This comes and goes too. My range of motion isn’t impacted and nor is my strength on that side. Right is my dominant side and I haven’t noticed any change in ability etc.

I had a really bad sinus infection at Christmas and now my right sinuses don’t drain properly. Again, right hand side.

Ive been to GP and dentist about jaw pain and both were pretty unconcerned, and seen GP about aches and pains and sinuses, and was also unconcerned.

I’m currently noticing the weird feeling in my arm more than usual. I’m not sure if it’s really worse or if I’m just hyper-fixating with anxiety.

Has anyone had any similar experiences? Any ideas what this could be? It’s starting to get me down!

I get this in my left side and best guess is it's something to do with my neck causing nerve problems but no one will look into it more!

@CandleRigg89 I get this with my left side, leg and arm..I was wondering if you ever got to the bottom of this?

Have you ever had shingles? There can be residual neuropathic pain post infection for several years.

I finally got my GP to actually take it seriously and turns out I’ve got some intense nerve damage around my neck and spine! Seeing a physio privately (NHS wait is around 2 years since it’s non-urgent) who thinks it can be fully resolved with proper treatment!

Hi how are you doing now? Did you have a scan for the diagnosis?

I have this but on my left side. Mine seemed to appear following a filling where I had my jaw open for an extended period. I guess it could be neck nerve impingement like yours.
It can be so painful at times.

No scan but targeted exercises have helped massively and the symptoms are now mostly gone so no need for one I suppose! Swimming in between appointments has been a lifesaver too!

highly recommend a physio if you can whilst waiting for any NHS plan!
