Anyone had medication overuse headache from taking painkillers once per day

I suffer from chronic migraines and take ibuprofen or paracetamol once a day. I’ve now developed a low level constant background headache and wondering if it’s medication overuse headache? I literally only take one ibuprofen or one paracetemol a day though, not high doses at all so not sure if it’s possible to get overuse headache at this level?

I spent a holiday with my sister and she always carries a pack of ibuprofen in her bag and I saw her taking it several times.
She claims she gets a headache if she doesn't have ibuprofen every day. I tried telling her she had become addicted but she still takes this low dose 200 mg every single day.

So yes, you sound like my sister.

I don't see how it would be possible with paracetamol? I know someone who has it on prescription for arthritis and takes it every day always.

Surely ibuprofen is a bad idea though as it can damage the stomach lining?

It's definitely a thing. Have you tried taking triptans for the migraines? Would give you a break as they work differently than painkillers.
