Back pain for over a week - worse when sitting straight (especially in car )

I pulled my back nearly 5 years ago (before having 2 children) and it has never really been right since

From time to time I would pull it, and it would hurr for a few days then get better (would take pain killers )

Since a week last Sunday I have been suffering with severe back pain, especially when sitting in tjr car. I was literally cryinf today with the pain. When i got home I had to lie on the floor for about 10 mins and stretch it out, it was then better for a while (pain still there but nowhere near as bad) I can walk but sometimes I feel like Mt back will give way ,although the pain is at its least when walking/ standing

I'm concerned about how long this is lasting, having to look after 2 young chidlren is a real struggle as I can barley bend down to change by baby

Could it possible be a slipped disc? I don't want to waste doctors time for 'back pain '

Pain killers also don't seem to be doing much

Forgot to add, sometimes the pain goes into my legs (don't think it's sciatica though as I've had that before )

It could be your sacroiliac joint if the pain is worse when sitting. Sympathies, I know it is agony. It will ease but takes time.

Sorry, realised that link is a sort of advert for a sacroiliac belt thing, but the info about symptoms is accurate from my experience!
