Not me but my patients are at risk of shingles. We give them prophylactic Aciclovir to prevent it. Are you on that?? Would be worth asking for some if you are not.

Thank you, I am currently on a weeks course of 5 a day aciclivor but may speak to them about this if it continues.

You see sometimes in the past I have had flare ups but haven't seen a rash so assumed it was PHN. Post herpectic heuralgia. I didn't realise it could recure, thought it was rare.

But now the GP has written 'has flare ups of shingles since original episode' in my notes so obviously thinks it is.

Another thing I have is slight deafness and ringing in my right ear (the side I tend to get these flare ups on).

I have a friend who is on prophylactic Aciclovir due to constant cold sores. It’s worth an ask.

The shingles came up on my face, it is over a week later and rash is ok thanfully eye seems ok.

Getting so much pain though, all in my right side, face, nerve on face, forehead, shoulder, sciatic nerve...

I'm in tears with it and have a feeling it will stay as previously I had ongoing pain after shingles.

Feel quite low today. I have co-codamol which helps a little.

I find wine helps but shouldn't really have that with the tablets.

Oh and the GP said to rest and not to stress. But have some stressful family and money stuff going on. It's not that easy is it at times.
