I have name changed for this. I am currently in hospital and have been left without any pain medication . Due to the new rulings on opiates. They will give me it but only in a form that I’m allergic to. I’ve had no quality of life for the last 18 months lost so much weight cannot eat or drink.

I have decided enough is enough. I cannot go on anymore I’ve lost my family my home everything.

it is disgusting that those of us in chronic pain find that the only way to get relief is to end it all. I hope that one day the government and nhs will realise what they have done.

Hi, can you share with us your condition? I'm sorry you're feeling so low

Bunnygirl0 · 29/07/2022 05:13

So sorry you are feeling this way xxx

Hello OP, we are really sorry to hear you are feeling this way.
We see that you are getting support from your fellow Mumsnetters and hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources.
You can also go to the Samaritans website, or email them on [email protected]. Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek RL help and support as well.
We also like to remind everyone that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.
Wishing you the very best,
MNHQ💐

How are you feeling today OP? Xx

feistyoneyouare · 29/07/2022 14:01

OP I hope you are OK and didn't carry out what you were planning to. I think this ruling is a terrible thing for chronic pain sufferers and I'm so sorry to hear how you've suffered. I wish I had something more useful to offer by way of advice, but I couldn't just read and run, I hope you are able to get some relief. Hugs.

Can I ask what the opiate rule is? As I work
in a hospital and give out opiates and haven’t come across a change in rules

feistyoneyouare · 30/07/2022 15:02
