New shiny thread to get us through December & Xmas and possible New Year!

This thread is for anyone who has days , weeks, months at time when get chronic pain flair or lives in pain constantly. There are so many conditions that have pain and often limited understand of how it feels to be living with it. Everyone is very welcome

I hope you get some sleep @Akire. I hope we all do !

Hope everyone manages some sleep, I have been in a lot of pain with my hip since a dog knocked me down in the park last week. I have trochanteric tendonitis in that hip anyway so it was bad luck to land on it. I am finding it very hard to get comfortable in bed.

It does. Everything just seems ten times worse in the early hours when the world is asleep and you're led awake, uncomfortable, in pain and praying for sleep

Sending sleeping wishes to everyone. I need to persuade myself to eat so I can go to sleep to reduce my fatigue, but my stomach pain is bad because of said fatigue, so I'm in rather a catch 22 situation

@bicyclesaredeathtraps it's awful when you're stuck in those situations.

I’m with you all on the sleep thing unfortunately, constant headaches and body aches mean I can’t get comfy and have to wait until I’m really tired, wake several times in the night then can’t get up in the morning and feel terrible because all the meds have worn off
I’ve had this cold for nearly 2 weeks now still feel unwell and full of mucus. I think I’m just very rundown and in need of a holiday. We are being inspected next week so work will be crazy then there’s the usual Christmas craziness. is it wrong to just crave some jannie days cuddled up on the sofa?

@sweetkitty definitely not wrong, I think we all need it sometimes (or most of the time...)

@sweetkitty I think we all need PJ days. I cant wait until the kids are off school, so we can snuggle up, PJs on and not have to worry about the school run

Hello everyone, I am waiting for gall stone removal surgery and while on the waiting list I am dealing with chronic middle abdomen pain after eating. It is gall stone pain.

Also I have other pains too: migraines, aches, cuts/bleedings, joint pain...it's everyday! I feel horrible everyday and exhausted daily. I am so sick of being on daily painkillers, I just want surgery done to sort my issues.

I also have other serious chronic issues, I take steriod meds daily for them. Waiting for surgery to sort these chronic issues.

Has anyone had gall bladder surgery? What was it like?

@dreamingdream that sounds horrendous. I've never suffered with gall stones but they don't sound nice at all.

Morning all. Hi @dreamingdream I think you are new but gets harder with more names! I’m currently sitting here with gall bladder pain. For me it appears some random stomach issues that hurt that and above belly button. In my case it’s wheat and diary see trigger it. I was naughty yesterday as been I’ll so ordered snacks I could just eat so my own fault. But still feeling like going explode is no fun.

I’ve got cold @sweetkitty and it showing as positive on lateral flow test. Did you get tested? Didn’t have to bad night up for hour every 2hours so lots tossing and turning but not feeling to rough so far.

Still waiting for covid test they sent me 3 emails and 2 texts to say it be here by 3 but not yet. Pain as intercom rings once and you have about 10 seconds get before goes off in flat so can’t even go to loo case you miss it. Really need wee now!

Well I have solved my problem from my other thread, those that read it. It was my ex with fake profiles. He's been warned by the police to leave me alone.

Was he stalking you on MN? That’s grime at least police seemed got themselves into gear with this sort thing

@Akire no, he'd set up a profile using a friend if a friends photo and name and began stalking me on Snapchat and threatening me on FB under the false name. I thought it was weird as I'd never given out my surname so how he knew it I couldn't figure out. Well, now I know!

Test arrived and kind neighbours dropped it off for me so now we wait and see.
