Afternoon xx My good news is I've ironed achool uniform this morning and cleaned the bathroom. Paying for it now though but O'm pleased I got them done. Also I don't have to sort out tea tonight. Two good news storiesGrin
Akire · 25/01/2022 15:29

Excellent well done you, I’ve got fish fingers and frozen mash in oven for tea so easy for me. My bathroom on other hand is a disaster!

Good news here is my doorbell camera turned up.
Yay fab!!

I slept a lot better last night and actually have a bit more strength in my legs for it. God yesterday was like bambi on ice!

Not sure what's changed but JC I needed that sleep.

Payroll almost gone so can relax (kinda) for a few days.

@TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo love new name! Yes you need a break from
Super long days.

Still need work on my bucket list for the year, can’t think Of anything when feel so rubbish. Did one year have friend come and bake cakes on flat so I could have the nice smell while they cooked and to help do washing up. Huge task on your own

Hello travellers in discomfort!
Private insurance won't cover physio for fibromyalgia which leads to the following questions:
Has anyone got an over view of what to expect from NHS? I know it can be a post code lottery but if i get onto a list and get seen, is it a limit of 6 session so something short or is it more long term?
Anyone paid for it out of their own pocket?
AND
Has anyone got fibromyalgia and an immune system that's been identified as compromised in some way. I've beentold I am IgA deficient about a year ago, then 6 months ago started developing fibromyalgia symptoms.
Ive read some articles (as recent as 2021) suggesting a link but not clear what.
Any insight would be welcome

Akire · 26/01/2022 15:19

Hi @lolaflores love the travellers in discomfort Grin My mum has it and far as I know no Specific physio ever been offered. Think it depends massively where you live and resources. Defo worth posting own thread maybe here or in health section to ask as bound be loads other fibro people about.

I have had other physio on NHS years ago and was very much 6 weeks is max and we expect you to be cured and after than on your own.

Just coming on for late night moan. Bloody pain sick of it. Why do days have feel so endless.

OP posts:
HerRoyalHappiness · 27/01/2022 08:17

The days feel like they never end. It's constant pain and tablets, that's what it feels like. I may as well rattle when I walk as I take so many pills

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 27/01/2022 08:29

Don't get me started on the tablets.

I got my last morning one stuck at the back of my throat earlier which made me gip and then was violently sick. I have a bad bad gag reflex.

No idea which ones I've absorbed or not? I didn't bring up any whole tablets so I'm just going to have to cope with the pain until 11 and take some more codeine.

Akire · 27/01/2022 08:47

It’s the pain before open eyes clobbers me like come on universe give me a BREAK. Least lull me into false sense of security that I’m in with half a chance of the day. I may have ordered some bacon and shopping for breakfast on Deliveroo I need incentive to attempt the day.

@TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo rough start for you.

Thanks for the advice re: TENS machine. Made a difference around 1am last night. My back has been in spasm and I think it headed something much more debilitating off at the pass but the pain at night is harder because it's so lonely.
And it's like the pain unleashes the worst of itself about 9pm and until 2am.
I'm bleary and exhausted right now but want to keep going. Tidied up a bit. Hope the energy levels improve e but it's the 3rd consecutive night of it which is a total pisser

52andblue · 27/01/2022 09:40

Place marking for post later (brain fog)

Akire · 27/01/2022 09:42

That’s good news, do play around especially with back sometimes having them
Higher or lower then the pain weirdly makes it better. You need hit the right spot on nervous system where that point is relying back.

I call the nights the night shift, we do full time
Job getting through day then often pleasure of night shift on top with pain discomfort, disturbed sleep. It’s never like oh good sleep that’s me till morning.

That's great news you got some relief from the TENSSmile
wildthingsinthenight · 27/01/2022 10:03

Akire I dont blime yoi ordering deliveroo this morning. I was up last night on the night shift and read your post about pain but my hands were too painful to reply. The ironyHmm
My DS is poorly (a rarity) which triggers big anxiety for me which makes me very stressed which then makes my pain worse. Ugh.
Wishing everyone a calm day and a respite from symptoms for a while❤

Akire · 27/01/2022 10:08

Sorry about Son hope he gets better soon. I have rare coffee invite late but it’s dark and cloudy and cold I feel crap. Have few hours to decide if pain effort and cold is going be worth it for rare social event!

OP posts:
TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 27/01/2022 10:31

I might be joining you with the Deliveroo. Am all alone today while everyone is at work, school and college. Got to do some evil pension reconciliations but I reckon a blast of my favourite playlist, singing along when nobody can hear me and some lovely hot food will ease the loneliness 😂

Akire · 27/01/2022 12:26

Nearly cancelled friend but thought no make effort. 20min walk half hour then home. Been out 45min she’s not even here yet!! Feel lousy hard call to know when to much or not.

I'm in bloody agony. Carrying a bulky cat carrier is hard work.
So I've bought a cat backpack. Should enable me to use my frame or crutches while I've got him then instead of struggling with one crutch and the carrier.
