RainbowZebraWarrior · 10/01/2022 20:33

Oh no @HerRoyalHappiness I hope you are feeling better soon. That is such awful luck Flowers

SpookyScarySkeletons · 10/01/2022 20:35

@RainbowZebraWarrior

Wow *@SpookyScarySkeletons* you look amazing! 💜
Thank you! I'm totally blushing right now!
RainbowZebraWarrior · 10/01/2022 20:38

Sorry to hear you couldn't get to choir @bicyclesaredeathtraps that's crap that the lift was broken. I've always wanted to have the courage to go to choir. I love singing. Maybe we should set up a Zoom chronic pain choir (or rude colouring in group)

RainbowZebraWarrior · 10/01/2022 20:42

@Akire

You look amazing well done, it does make a difference. Nasty day with pelvic pain on about my 10th hot water bottle.

@RainbowZebraWarrior 18 pages is loads well done. Get stressed for you just reading in. You should be proud of yourself.

Struggling with emptiness of life at moment. I know usually dark wet January days but my days are really empty all year round. Not as if have energy just get up and out and do something either. Think 2y of covid the little things I did do have been much restricted.

Oh Akire. Big hugs to you. And don't forget, if it wasn't for you, this thread probably wouldn't be here. You started it, you keep it going and keep us all going too.

I for one, appreciate you so much and I will you on every single day. And when I wake up in the morning I come to this thread first to help me get through the day.

Flowers and Wine to you lovely

Of course we understand @Akire
It's hard being on your own constantly, and the last two years have been hell. I'm a natural introvert but it's even getting me down being stuck in constantly.

bicyclesaredeathtraps · 10/01/2022 22:10

Can't quote the post but I agree with Rainbow's post as well. This thread is a lifeline, thank you for setting it up

bicyclesaredeathtraps · 10/01/2022 22:11

RainbowZebra yes that would actually be a great idea! I've never been quite sure how choir on zoom works, but I know I can sing even on low spoons high pain days.

Akire · 10/01/2022 23:08

Feeling bit stressed by other threads on sore throat and Paracetamol. I definitely took more 4dose least once in 24h when I had covid. I was setting timer on phone for at least 4h sometimes 6h but no sense of the 24h period I was in or even what day it was at times. Is it always really really bad? I mean I know they don’t want you to do it but is my liver screwed now? To late to do anything either way I guess but still!

I'm in a ridiculous amount of pain today. My back is killing me. My hips are clicky, my elbows ache.

Akire · 11/01/2022 12:38

Sends coffee for @HerRoyalHappiness.

OP posts:
RainbowZebraWarrior · 11/01/2022 12:58

@Akire try not to worry. I think it would have to be more long term and sustained use over the usual 4 times in 24 hrs. Pretty sure I broke the 24 hour hour rule last time I had flu. Like you say, you don't know where you are anyway

@HerRoyalHappiness hope you've got meds on board. Gentle hugs

Akire · 11/01/2022 13:09

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior I was tired and stressed. It must be such common thing take 8am one day then next morning up at 6am and think oh it’s new day. It’s just from the other thread it was like instant doom.

Managed do some tidying as wheelchair assessment tomorrow. So least they is now somewhere them to sit. Feeling really sick again today think is anaemia done private blood test to check. Do about twice a year for about £80 and check loads of things. Helps me keep eye on things and easier than going GP

Wooo! Akire I wouldn't worry, I think as a one off and you're not taking more often than 4-6 hours, you'll be fine. Went to the wheelchair/ mobility scooter shop today and arranged to rent a small, public transport friendly scooter for a week later in the month so I can do some day trips. The freedom!
Akire · 11/01/2022 20:10

That’s very brave, I’ve given up on buses here not for faint hearted just didn’t have nerve constant harassment. Hopefully you live in much more civil place!

I'm not too bad today. It's the fabulous @OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack birthday today! I was hoping to have her presents to her but covid means she'll have to have them late. ❤

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 12/01/2022 11:49

oh no @Akire thats gutting that hes off sick, i hope they manage to get soemone else out to you asap!

and @HerRoyalHappiness dont you worry for a single second about my birthday, you just look after yourself and the babas, im a big girl, i can wait and id rather knwo you were looking after yourself and not worrying about me!

Akire · 12/01/2022 11:59

It’s fine told me can’t repair chair 6-8m ago then I had be reassessed. They say assement but never had chair actually fits it’s just basic get way with giving. This one the frame is tiny had to use my old cushions and backrest and footrests. Never had chair where can use head rests as basic standard one “unisex” build for men so as a 5”3 women just don’t work. I dare say if you were really small or different body shape they would adapt but not for most people.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 12/01/2022 12:02

i get you akire, my chair had to be special made for me because im only 4'10.5'' so child height but im adult weight so to get one that fit me right, they had to custom make it to suit me which is why it was such a nightmare when it broke :(
