Does anyone get this symptom?

Me, like a whoosing sensation, lasts maybe 5 seconds. Never get it sitting down thankfully

Hallelujah2020 · 15/11/2021 09:52

That’s good that it goes when sitting down

Mine can last 12-24hrs, look very pale and feel as above and spaced out

GP thinks it may be a silent migraine or related to fibro

I’ve learnt from experience to give in to it and not attempt work etc as does make it go quicker if I rest

Yes! Especially when I’m extremely tired - it can last a few days at its worst. It’s really awful. I’ve found travel sickness tablets do help though.

I get this and have recently been diagnosed with PoTS

Namechange600 · 17/11/2021 10:07

Same - get this and have POTS

RainbowZebraWarrior · 20/11/2021 12:48

Yes I get it, but also have PoTS.

I also feel like the car is moving when it isn't moving, and blurred vision. Currently wondering about asking for investigations into MS.

Difficult when you get so many random symptoms and a lot of crossover with similar medical issues / co morbidities

How do you get diagnosed with POTS???

Could that explain why when I bend over also I feel very lightheaded when I stand upright again?

RainbowZebraWarrior · 21/11/2021 19:37

PoTS is usually diagnosed via a Tilt Table Test. But basically it can be diagnosed by a health professional as a raise in heart rate of 30 plus beats per minute, sustained for 10 mins upon standing

RainbowZebraWarrior · 21/11/2021 19:40

That is a very simplistic overview by the way. And I'm aware of people with similar symptoms who have either been dismissed or diagnosed with other things (e.g. Vertigo / Meniers disease) speak to your doctor and push for referral to either Cardio or Falls and Syncope for a proper diagnosis

LunaAndHerMoonDragons · 22/11/2021 01:26

I had that really badly for a while, constant, too dizzy to stand. Turned out to be a medication side effect. I still get both but no where near as badly since reducing that medication.

ArabellaStrange · 22/11/2021 01:37

Yes I get this, once had a very scary fit type thing after standing up. I've also had two two month periods of vertigo in the last two years.
Just so everyone on this thread is aware, the proper way of getting an affirmative diagnosis of MS is a lumber puncture. I am trying to get the courage together to request one.

I get this, feel like I'm moving when I'm not, or suddenly feel a jolt in my head and the room shakes. Have been for an mri to investigate and waiting on results. The constant lightheaded/fuzzy feeling is awful though, I was prescribed tablets but didn't seem to help much

nicky2512 · 22/11/2021 14:02

I have fibromyalgia and have been having long spells of a weird dizziness - like a floating feeling. Doc just gives me vertigo tablets.

Chanletch87 · 26/01/2022 18:50

@Stevie6 hi did you get the results back from your mri? I have the same feeling I have done for the past 16 months but doctors keep telling me its anxiety related but chiropractor told me its to do with the muscles in my neck x

Stevie6 · 26/01/2022 18:52

@Chanletch87 I did, apparently I am normal. Nothing showed on the mri but still having dizziness though it does seem to be a bit less now. It's so frustrating never getting answers though isn't it

Chanletch87 · 26/01/2022 18:58

@Stevie6 glad its clear but still frustrating as you don't know why its happening, I went for an MRI beginning of Jan but had a massive panic attack and I had to get out, felt ridiculous but I literally couldn't breathe. So now I'm at a loss x

I get so tired I shake/ tremble and my head switches off. I’m out in a deep sleep for hours but wake feeling and looking like death. I do get dizzy too from time to time. It’s linked with tirednesses for me. I also have ME though. Most days I’m in bed for 20 hours.
