@cricketmum84 that's incredibly sad Flowers

Got to phone GP. Rheumatology said they'd put me on Amytryptiline but gp not sorted it yet so have to chase it up. But I hate phonecalls

cricketmum84 · 27/09/2021 11:27

Yep 21 years ago and I still think of her often, birthdays, the anniversary of her disappearing and then when they found her 9 months later. It makes you sad for what could have been.

@HerRoyalRisesAgain I had the same with my GP when the neurologist sent them a list of medications they wanted me on! Had to call them multiple times until a receptionist with more than one working brain cell found the letter and sorted it for me. It had been scanned in but nobody had bothered to read it and they didn't even realise I needed a wheelchair!!

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 27/09/2021 11:46

It's so frustrating. They say they've not recieved anything yet and I've to phone rheumatology. I'll sort that tomorrow though, I'm wiped out now no energy left.

Akire · 27/09/2021 12:19

It annoys so much how much time is spent chasing basic things, surely must have systems in place. It’s someone’s job but seems if you do nothing then no action no problem.

I'm so sorry, @cricketmum84. I remember the news coverage and trial. I think sending her mum a message, any message, is the right thing to do. Just a 'thinking of you' is fine. I wouldn't really know what to say either Flowers

I shared some memories I had of her, first day of school, making absolutely inedible biscuits at guides (we burnt the chocolate topping lol) and playing rounders and sent her a pic of us together at Sunday school. Me and my youngest talk about her sometimes and have taken flowers to the cemetery before x
SpindleWorld · 27/09/2021 13:52

It's good to have happy memories of a life, cricketmum.

doadeer · 27/09/2021 16:52

Has anyone ever tried counselling or hydrotherapy?

Akire · 27/09/2021 16:54

No, hydrotherapy can’t travel and costs arm n leg. Counselling would consider but unless on NHS (ha ha) again price. Are you at the I need to do anything something point?

I've done so much I'm demented.... I'm clutching at straws. I'm back on coedine daily again. I want to keep moving and exercise but it causes me pain. I just can't win.

I went out for dinner on sat for the first time in years and the pain hangover on Sunday was horrendous... Just from sitting up right for a few hours.

I'm seeing another osteopath on thrs... I'll try anything

Akire · 27/09/2021 17:03

That sounds tough, feels more insulting when it’s such rare thing to go out and body still does the ha you not having that, payback x 1000.

doadeer · 27/09/2021 17:14

Yep.
I do quite hard pilates twice a week and I'm trying to stay strong but the pain is just rotten. This time of day is the worst, my partner finishes at 6 and I can hand over my little one and crawl in the bath.

Akire · 27/09/2021 17:22

Last slog of the day always the hardest. Great you push self with exercise , can you bottle some de termination please!

I’m in the shattered but to late have sleep stage so slog through till 7 and get second wind. Or maybe it’s the gin o clock does the magic trick Gin

doadeer · 27/09/2021 17:41

It is a slog!! I never skip onto the mat lol.

I'm gutted because I can't drink anymore. I love wine but it doesn't love me. I have a full blown hangover from one glass. Another delightful side effect from my condition.

I treat myself with nice skincare as I don't want to overeat and wine is off the cards.

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 27/09/2021 18:07

Nice skincare is a good way to treat yourself

doadeer · 27/09/2021 18:21

Yes, I might have a body that's falling apart but my skin is glowing 🤣 small mercies.

Gilead · 27/09/2021 20:38

Today, I was asked to email my copy of the rheumatologist’s letter to the surgery as they hadn’t received their copy. Tomorrow I will be discussing amitriptyline dosage. Hurrah! I really hope this helps because so far Pregabalin-allergic, Duloxetine did nothing and the Tramadol/Paracetamol hold it some days whilst barely touching it other days.
I get so tired of having to chase for it all.

Akire · 27/09/2021 20:50

I have special diary that use keep dates and things I’ve chased up or gets very complicated. Being sick is full time job

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 27/09/2021 23:04

i have a special diary just for writing appointments down as well, otherwise i cant keep track of anything, my short term memory is awful plu si had a concussion a few years ago that knocked a lot of my long term memories right out, the last ten to fifteen years is worst affected, its like the memories have been totally wiped out. bloody sucks. still, that concussion is how my brain abnormality got found and now i know why i always have a headache no matter what i do!!

sweetkitty · 27/09/2021 23:44

So I thought I would be normal Mum today and take the DC out for the day and have a nice lunch, have to be very careful about what o eat because of the TMJ pain so when the food arrive (was supposed to be tomato and vegan meatballs) it looked disgusting I would have been embarrassed to serve it to anyone. Fish dish was minus the meatballs too just dry over cooked pasta with a tiny bit of tomato sauce on it. Even when they brought out the second dish with the “meatballs” 5 dried up little brown things I told them to take it back I had lost my appetite.

My whole diet is appalling right now Blush I’m only eating to stop feeling hungry I can’t really eat what I want so I’ll just eat junk every now and again.

Anyway apart from lunch had a nice time with the DC made the 3 hour sleep I had to have when I got home worth it.

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 28/09/2021 07:36

My knee has just popped out on me, so I fell and did my wrist in. Its a good job I have s mobility scooter to do the school run

cricketmum84 · 28/09/2021 08:32

Oh no @HerRoyalRisesAgain! That sounds painful. I need to get back on my scooter. I lost confidence when I tipped it over trying to do donuts. (Yes I know I'm very childish 😂)

Bad night here, constantly waking in pain. I really need to switch the laptop on and make a start on work but I just feel wiped out. No chance of a rest day as my assistant isn't working today and it's payday so I will be fielding queries all day in between a gazillion spreadsheets. Feel like I need a bucket of coffee.
