Just imagine their little faces in the morning with no stockings.

I've just done mine including one for 5 month old dd .

Accompanied by watching In the loop and 2 small glasses of prosecco.

And I wrapped the stocking presents - well shoved some paper round them.

I also did myself a stocking (i know very sad) but half a bottle of champagne and a rouge noir nail varnish in it so much better than DH would do.

You see all 5 of us have the same stockings. So boys still empty in their rooms and I got ours and filled them and will swap them over at my bedtime.

Send ds2 to bed and do them quickly.

Pantofino · 24/12/2009 20:12

I've just stuffed the xmas stocking, with chocolate that came in the St nicolas stocking 3 weeks ago. I hope i get away with it. I''m counting on dd being distracted by all the little wrapped things...

Marne · 24/12/2009 20:14

I know how you feel, dd1 wont go to sleep so i can't fill her stocking (its hung on her door), i am likely to fall asleep before her and forget .

merrycompo · 24/12/2009 20:15

Dcs have stockings in their rooms which means we have to stay up to fill them
wish they were by the fireplace but they were insistent on fc coming to their rooms

Ambi · 24/12/2009 20:16

I have forgotten, but DD has only just turned 2 so can get away with it. I can't bear the tat that will come with stocking filling in years to come - I like nice big boring presents which are quiet and don't include loads of tiny bits that get everywhere

FolornHope · 24/12/2009 20:16

ds1 ALWAYS wakes up at 12

Kick ds2 up to bed and fill stockings before you pass out nod off.

omg well three boys is the coolest hitng in town
we have men ENVYING dh his man time and cricket- tell him ds2 and dh are watching " how the ashes was regained" on sky atm waiting for a curry

Must say having had surprise number 3 this summer - I love it. 3 dc's really does feel like a family to me.

And the 2 ds's pretty much entertain baby dd all the time.

TAFKAtheUrbanDryad · 24/12/2009 20:30

Nope, one of each. I would like another though - all the coolest families when I was growing up had 3 kids.

I want both the others sleeping through and off my fecking boobs before I even THINK about ttc though!

my mum says she did one year, i think that must have been the year she announced i was too old

i was 11 admittedly, it never twigged she had forgotten.
unless it was when i was very young and have blotted out the bad memory ?

CitizenPrecious · 24/12/2009 20:46

I forgot tooth fairy two days in a row this week

and had to say that the tooth fairy probably moonlights with Father Christmas at this time of year so very busy

ds didn't buy it

(mind you he is 12 )

CardyMow · 25/12/2009 02:02

LOL I'm always forgetting the blardy tooth fairy. My usual excuse is that even the tooth fairy gets one day off a week..... Never forgotten stockings yet though.

CardyMow · 25/12/2009 02:04

(STILL awake as DS2 6yo keeps waking up every time I try to retrieve stocking off bedroom door)...am beginning to consider a quick whack on his head to knock him out till morning....
