Have you done all the wrapping?

Wrapping is what keeps me up 'til midnight on Christmas Eve. I always vow to get it done earlier, but so far, it hasn't happened!

Yes all done here, DH just gone out to buy a few last bits, me and the DD's are going to watch Narnia on TV this afternoon and eat chocolate! I sat up until 11.00 wrapping last night, so everything is mostly ready. I have loved having this long run up to Christmas. One of the benefits of working in a preschool for crappy pay is that I get the school holidays off, thank goodness. We are having a quiet family meal tonight, no parties to go to, and I am quite happy about that, I am turning into a sad old git these days but I don't care!

Well all the shopping and wrapping is done but still got lots of cleaning and tidying to do. i don't know why i bother really as it'll be a bombsite again by this time tomorrow!
Wish I could get pissed but I'm 23 weeks pregnant Grrrrr! I hate being pregnant at christmas.

DP and I are parked on the sofa eating chocolate and drinking tea while DS has a nap upstairs. Truly, this is the spirit of Christmas

wollysocks · 24/12/2009 23:10

got to the point of wondering why do people clean at christmas and enjoyed Snowman with DD instead. time to stop surely?
is the cleaning man calling and i don't know it. always wonder if some special man calls that why we get all cleaning mad? do we get vouchers for being cleanest house? does anyone really notice? or are houses so dirty this time of year makes folk feel guilty so they actually do some cleaning?

WeThreeNinks · 24/12/2009 23:21

I'm with you wollysocks, my house only had a surface clean today and the upstairs - ha! Santa isn't going there and certainly won't be complaining about the fact that my DS coated the bathroom floor with Infacare the other day which isn't completely hosed down.

Then again MIL and the HV both visited last week so it's respectable enough for now. And what are DH's days off if not to pitch in? It'll be sparkling by New Year!
