Same as you Juicy

MrsMorgan · 23/12/2009 18:36

Not sure. I was going to a party with my brother and his gf, but the person having the party has callled it off

I think they may just come here for booze and nibbles instead, which will be nice, but would love to go out. Not been out for NY since 2000.

ChasingSquirrels · 23/12/2009 18:37

going round to a friend, will take the boys and put them to bed there, friend's dh cooks, then just have relaxing evening, probably play some games etc, another couple will be there aswell.
Used to alternate between us and the friend but they have done it the last few years since ex and I split up.

AboardtheAxiom · 23/12/2009 18:38

I have none. Last year I ended up crying on BIL's shoulder whilst his GF gave me evils as I was so bloody miserable. This year will be an improvement.

tiredemma · 23/12/2009 18:39

Working a night shift.

I fact working nights on 31st,1st and 2nd.

But we will be having a bit of knees up at work (that is the plan anyway)

Lulumama · 23/12/2009 18:39

Got quite a few friends and their DCs over , will have party food and much vino

purpleturtle · 23/12/2009 18:40

As a family we are going to stay with friends. Will eat, drink and chat till midnight and retire fairly swiftly thereafter. [old gits emoticon]

MrsMorgan · 23/12/2009 18:41

Last year was the first year in ages that I didn't cry on nye. Well that is until a friend rang at 12:10 to wish me happy new year and I could hear her party in full swing in the backgound.

I live 1 minute walk away from her.

Lulumama · 23/12/2009 18:41

that;s so mean, MrsM

JACKIEwrappingPAPER · 23/12/2009 18:42

working.

BlackYellowRed · 23/12/2009 18:43

Probably go to bed at 10 and wake up wondering why there's fireworks going off at midnight. Wish DH a happy New Year and go back to sleep. It has been like that for a few years now.

We used to have a great party with a meal and then open presents (instead of at Christmas) at midnight with my family. Miss that a lot. Shame we can't go over.

PheasantPlucker · 23/12/2009 18:47

We are going to stay with friends in Dorset 30/12 - 2/1. Can't wait!

MrsJohnDeere · 23/12/2009 19:03

Just another evening in this house.

Eat dinner, drink wine, watch tv/read. Asleep by 10/10.30. I've never been able to stay awake until midnight.

bonkerz · 23/12/2009 19:06

Flying into Heathrow after 14 hours in the sky with 2 preschoolers!

Francagoestohollywood · 23/12/2009 19:16

We might go to a dear friend's house in the countryside in central italy. It's going to be us + 3 other families, the plan is to cook a lot, eat a lot and hope that the kids will entertain themselves
BUT, I usually get ill after christmas, so we'll see

nappyzonecantrunfortoffee · 23/12/2009 19:19

Been invited to a party with dc's but not to sleep over and soeone will need to drive and as kids will be wretched come 8pm im now thinking a night in with mucho booze and a chinese may be more suitable .
