...they left a note and fairy dust.

Seriously?

Was I that creative?

She is also miffed that we forgot to leave chocolate for them, so tonight I have to leave out chocolate and then remember to do a note and fairy dust.

Gah.

Why do I start these things?

LOL!

We had similar situation in our house last year. It was our first Christmas in a new house. The previous year, we had been living in a victorian house with original fireplaces in all bedrooms. DCs had awoken on Christmas morning to find stockings by fireplaces and a scattering of "special santa dust" around the hearth. Fast forward to last year, in a new house with no fireplaces in bedrooms and cue tantrums about "FC will not be able to place a stocking in my room because I have no fireplace!! I need you to make me a fireplace mama!!" swiftly followed by "well he found my room but he can't be the same one as there was no santa dust"......... Shan't be forgetting this year!!

There was an article in the Guardian recently about how you only have to do something twice for it to becaome a Xmas family tradition but it looks like its only once in your house flame...I'd be careful if I were you

awww, is lovely... just don't ever tell them you started this thread! The fairies put up our trimmings for years, then when I was a teenager and was fondly reminiscing my mum told me that she had to do it all herself while my dad drank and gave his "creative input". Couldn't I just have the FICTION.... couldn't I?!?

lol @ the chimney

fairies only eat green and blacks. forgot I had mentioned that last time so I have to g out again to replace the galaxy i bought . she is 6. she souldn't remember this much.

fairies always did our tree too, stops "help" from children

I remember if you left colouring books open then fairies would colour them in too - that could be a fun one to start
