stock of fruit to have with cheeses,ie figs with marscapone, granny smiths, grapes, lemons for lemon cheese cake and any fruits to make an impromptu fruit salad if required or a crumble. if bananas start to go brownish i just freeze them to make muffins at a later date

alypaly · 21/12/2009 12:40

always do a honey glazed gammon and make sausage rolls and cheese straws,so have pickles and mustard in too

AMumInScotland · 21/12/2009 12:41

Cheese, cold meats, crackers, ready-to-bake bread/rolls - never short of a meal if you've got that lot in

I can't believe no-one has mentioned it yet. Chocolate! And champagne.

JodieO · 21/12/2009 12:52

Cheese, bread, crackers, different drinks, I make sausage rolls, veggie ones, mince pies, chocolate truffles, a chocolate torte and christmas puddings, I also made a christmas cake this year. I buy gherkins, beetroot, pickle all to have with cold turkey/sandwiches, biscuits, smoked salmon, meats, mixed nuts, peanuts; and probably some more that I can't remember. I have me and the 3dcs, dp, mum, dad and grandad for christmas day and boxing day dinner plus dp's family have visited and will again.
