is Guitar Hero on the wii any good? or any better alternatives?

I am having a panic as I have'nt been able to get to the shops and get anything for DH yet. I am lost looking online as he is 'difficult' to buy for.

I think he mentioned something about this ages ago but I wondered if anyone could tell me if its any good?

Is it something DD who is four could join in with?

Does anyone have any better suggestions for wii games?

Got it for DH last Crimbo.

He seems to really like it, has played it over the year and is chuffed with his progress to the harder skill levels. Was on it only last weekend. Gets quite competitive with himself. Mind you he is a decent guitar player already so maybe that helps. I'm hopeless at both real and Wii guitar and have never actually "played" the game as I don't enjoy it.

IME no way a 4 yo can play it. DS is 4 and DD1 is 3 and they can't get their fingers on the chord buttons and strum and if you don't hit the notes right you get booed off by the crowed after only a few bars of the song. Mind you they do love head banging along to the songs and jumping up and down as if they are in a mosh pit!

This year I've got DH Popstar, partially as it comes with a "free" air guitar clip on for the Wii-mote which might be easier for the DC's and partially for some different songs. Was also only 9.99 on an ebay deal of the day so if it dosen't go down well I wont have wasted too much money. Not that it helps you but his main pressie is a Stilson wrench!

Game that went down very, very, very well last year was Mario Super Galaxy. Highly recommend it and DS (and I) can play it too. It's his bribe reward when he's been good. DS that is not DH

Pop star guitar is only £7.99 on Amazon. Thinking of getting it for DS2.
