After getting something little for my friend's kids, £5-10 each. They are 4, 6 and 8. I have absolutely no idea about girls of these ages, can anyone help please? Is it just a case of raiding Claire's Accessories?

If Millets still do their little flowery play tent I would totally recommend it as a joint pressie for them. DD2 used to take a little chair and a flask and book in there and stay there for hours! She has even slept in there with friends a couple of times (a v tight squeeze!). For a cheapo present, it gives good value.

Otherwise buy them a big mixing bowl, a pinny and wooden spoon each and lots of lovely bun cases, sprinkles, icing etc.

Craft stuff?

Have you got a wilkinsons near you - they have loads of cheap craft stuff - feathers, glitter, glue, wiggly eyes, coloured matchsticks, coloured card etc - and you could buy a fancy gift box to keep it all in

or go for PJs or pretty tights

Thanks -- craft stuff might be good but no Wilkos near us sadly!

Ooh, tights -- now there's something I don't get to buy as a mum of boys...

PJs always good, Primark have nice button-up ones for £4.

Or Polly Pocket set each if they like that. Do you want three different things or can they be similar like that?

If you want different things how about colouring book and nice Crayola crayons for 4yo, girlie top trumps (eg HSM) for 6yo and puppy in my pocket for 8yo (or switch those last two)?
