Would like to send a hamper to my PILs in Germany, anyone know a good company?

Would like typical British produce, but a bit posh.

PILs often 'recycle' gifts so want to get them something that they will actually use themselves.

I don't know if they deliver to Europe but I ordered hampers (well, more like nicely boxed food sets than hampers!) from Harrods for my grandmothers one year when we weren't there for Christmas and they loved them. The delivery was really well presented in a Harrods green shelving type of box that both of them still use for storage. As far as I remember, the boxes contained a selection of things like jams and marmalade, shortbread biscuits, teas etc. - all typical British produce and definitely a bit posh!

Good tip, just checked their website and they are not sending any more hampers 'due to overwhelming demand'

What credit crunch?

There was a great thread last year but I cannot find it. Maybe it was in chat.

how about from here?

MmeLindt · 11/12/2009 13:59

They sell more the kind of stuff that I would like to have, not the shortbread and clootie dumpling kind of hampers that my PILs would enjoy.

Oh, didn't know, only used for 1st time yesterday to get me crackers.

what about M & S?
or JL?

MmeLindt · 11/12/2009 16:19

M&S don't send food abroad. Silly people, they would make a fortune on expats.

Neither do JL.

Found one after hours of googling. Looks good and was not too bad on postage.

Thanks for the suggestions though
