thinknig of taking ds (5) and dd (almost 3), it seems on the website that you need to pre-book, either ice skating, sledging or snow play. not really sure which one would be best, it's all a bit confusing!

has anyone been? what was/wasn't good?

I think snow play would be best for littlies. The ice skating is great but a I think perhaps it would be a bit scary for children so young. My girls love the tobogganing but again, poss a bit scary for littlies? The snow play section is just a little place with snow, toys etc for little ones and their families with nobody whizzing around.

Yes would suggest the snowplay. We were there recently for a birthday party. The downhill activities like tobogganning and tubing are fun but there's an awfull lot of climbing stairs and queuing up! I think they have some Christmas events on at the moment.

Other stuff - dress as if for real snow. It is COLD! Waterproof trousers or ski suit ideally - DS's wellies filled up with snow and then he got miserable. After your 1/2 hr you can thaw out in the Starbucks
