Would someone care to identify this peppa pig toy for me?

DD (3) says she 'needs' a Peppa Pig pushchair for Christmas.

Now I can find Peppa Pig branded dolls pushchairs and am not going to buy her one because I refuse to subscribe to the theory that one small girl needs more than one dolls pushchair and she has one, but on interrogation gentle questioning she says no, it's a little one for a little George Pig to go in.

I can only assume it is part of a larger playset but I cannot find it anywhere online - she must have seen it advertised.

All suggestions welcome!

ermmmmm.....

nancy75 · 09/12/2009 22:55

there is a carriage direct.tesco.com/product/images/?R=206-6265?

nancy75 · 09/12/2009 22:56

there is also a car which they call a buggy - could have confused her direct.tesco.com/q/R.205-7707.aspx

stealthsquiggle · 09/12/2009 22:57

Yes, I was starting to wonder about that one, Nancy, but she is adamant that it is George pig who goes in it.

[sigh] I am going to have to show her pictures of available options, aren't I? I keep thinking she will forget about it but she hasn't and it's been a while now.

Thanks, Nancy. It was the carriage I was wondering about. I have actually bought the 'buggy' with Tesco vouchers but think I may have the wrong end of the stick.

I can't find the thing I'm thinking of online. Will have to confess I saw it in Poundstretcher... a whole peppa pig set (dd was eyeing it up) involving a few characters and some other tat stuff

ScottishBoris · 09/12/2009 23:00

This is going to sound tragic, but given that I have watched a million few episodes of PP with DD1 and DD2, do you think she may be referring to the episode with Alexander the baby, where Peppa and her cousin make George pretend to be a baby and push him around in a pram?

A bog standard, silver cross stylee, pram?

Just a thought...

thisisyesterday · 09/12/2009 23:00

hmm i can't find anything on googling. and tbh i've never seen george in a buggy on the program, so would be a bit weird if they made one

are you sure it's one she's seen rather than one she just wants? iyswim?

nancy75 · 09/12/2009 23:00

can't find or remember seeing anything with just george, we have quite an array of peppa pig crap toys but its not ringing any bells.

stealthsquiggle · 09/12/2009 23:02

Damn - I know where there is a Poundstretcher and everything but I can't get there between now and Christmas

I can't believe I am doing this. I was all 'worthy educational toys only' with DS (PFB) but he never had any strong opinions. DD is so definite and forceful about her requirements requests that I find myself going along with them and searching for the requisite bit of plastic tat object of desire

pmsl - had two boys but am now having to learn parenting skills fast as I have an opinionated dd. What is it with 3yo demanding girls?

stealthsquiggle · 09/12/2009 23:03

God I love MN. I have never watched Peppa Pig in my life and have no plans to, but there are people out there to do it for me their DC.

TBH, as long as I am not missing anything obvious, I will go with the buggy and hope that in the excitement the pushchair will be forgotten

Thank you all!

oh you should watch it, it's one of my favourite kids programmes. It's so funny.
i love the one where daddy pig tries to put a picture up, and the one where he has to get fit. ahhhh i am chuckling just thinking abou tit

stealthsquiggle · 09/12/2009 23:26

I suspect my caution comes from the channels it is shown on and their endless annoying adverts.

Which is a shame, really, because I am sure I the DC miss out on some nice stuff. There is a programme called (I think) Jane and the Dragon on Channel 5 Milkshake which is lovely, but I cannot stand the ads.

I think I need to Sky+ some Peppa Pig for me DD.

stealthsquiggle · 09/12/2009 23:31

kkey it is definitely a possibility - who knows how the mind of a 3yo works - but she is adamant that it is a pushchair for George Pig..

OP posts:
kkey21 · 09/12/2009 23:34

ah bless her! will keep an eye out! I know how adamant they can be-my son is 4 and obviously knows best because he is nearly an adult you know!

ShinyAndNew · 09/12/2009 23:39

It's not on the official Peppa Pig shop, but there is george on a dragon?

stealthsquiggle · 09/12/2009 23:44

George on a Dragon is cool .

I must keep control of this, though - Thanks to Tesco Clubcard I have the buggy, and have ordered a Peppa Pig beanie for her stocking.

If I caved to all of DD's demands requests she would have a mountain of pink rubbish for Christmas - she tried to tell me today that she needs 4 Makka Pakkas - I think she means Tombliboos. It is scarey how suggestible she is - she hardly watches any of this stuff on TV but because her friends at nursery talk about it/ ahve the stuff she recognises characters from just about any children's programme.

DS chose a Wibbly Pig magazine and cuddly toy as his present to her, which I heartily approve of - I like Wibbly Pig.

You can get non-pink Peppa Pig stuff, fortunately. Well technically it's George Pig stuff and marketed at boys, but when they can't read it's all one and the same thing.

norfolkBRONZEturkey · 10/12/2009 00:02

My first thought was the same episode as Scottishboris was talking about when they meet the new cousin and bribe George with biscuits to play baby
